Twelve Macau lawyers were appointed as China-appointed notaries based in Macau

According to the announcement by the Ministry of Justice of the People’s Republic of China of January 26, 2018, published on 05/02/2018 at its official website (http://www.moj.gov.cn/government_public/content/2018-02/05/tzwj_14535.html) which was also made public in Macau on Macao Daily newspaper of 07/02/2018 (http://www.macaodaily.com/html/2018-02/07/content_1242659.htm) twelve Macau lawyers passed the prescribed qualifying examinations and were appointed by the Ministry of Justice of the People’s Republic of China as the second batch of China-appointed notaries based in Macau. They are Kuong Iok Kao, Lei Wun Kong, Fung Oi Lam, Chao Sio Ngan, Oriana Inácio Pun, Tang Weng Hang, Kuok Weng Mui, Wu Sao Wan, Chan Wa Keong, Lee Kam Iut, Mok I Leng and Leong Chak Po.

The Ministry of Justice of the People’s Republic of China had announced on November last year, within the same Mainland and Macau Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (“CEPA”), that it had decided to maintain the appointment of the first batch of China-appointed notaries based in Macau, namely, Paula Ling, Vong Hin Fai, Paulino Comandante and Zhao Lu.
